The Mansfield Parks & Recreation department’s focus on fun, fitness, family time and fellowship has made them an entity the entire community can count on. In 2018, they won over 15 state and national awards, offered over 1,400 programs at the Mansfield Activities Center (MAC), served 6,157 senior lunches, and enrolled 7,213 players in youth rec sports.
What the parks have to offer…
In Summer 2019, Mansfield Parks & Rec will offer 14 camps ranging in interest areas like art, science, herpetology (reptiles & amphibians), sports camps, and week-long Kids Zone camps.
Lest you think Parks and Rec only targets kids, think again: the adult programs are many and varied, ranging from Pickleball tournaments to basketball and tennis leagues, fitness classes like Tae Kwon Do and Tai Chi, as well as free fitness boot camps, Zumba and Yoga. Duplicate Bridge is offered, as well as other card games like Canasta; arts & crafts classes appeal to all ages.
The over-55 crowd can enjoy senior trips & tours like the Arboretum and Texas Tulips. Fine Arts Continuing Education courses, Line Dancing and Smart Driving courses are just a few of the activities offered.

I think you should also know that there are 23 parks & Facilities in Mansfield, which includes the Hawaiian Falls Water Park. Parks & Rec maintains over 900 acres of parkland, 100+ athletic fields, Walnut Creek Linear Trail and Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park. WOW!
